This was a fun project to work on. The brief was to develop a social media strategy that would engage existing Inspector Murdoch fans, while at the same time building bridges to new communities, specifically fans of steam punk.
We researched a list of key Canadian steam punk bloggers, offering items from the show, which in itself had a steam punk feel, as giveaways for contests. At the same time, we created a Facebook community hub, answering questions, running more contests and making new friends all over the world.
As a result of our social media engagement, the Inspector Murdoch series has now connected with an entirely new section of viewers and fans, a section that is growing steadily.
